In #10448 the ability to track the weight of racks and the devices installed in them were added.It would be nice to add a load capacity to racks as well so that a visual indicator of how much more weight could be added could be displayed.
Use case
Racks, especially wall mounted racks, have limits on how much weight can be added to them, either because the structure of the rack limits the capacity, because the way the rack is attached to the wall limits the capacity, or because the floor system limits the amount of weight. Having a way to quickly see how close a rack is to the limit would be helpful.
Database changes
Yes, a load capacity field would be needed to be added to racks.
