Yes, this will be added to the upcoming MTA 1.7 release. It probably won’t be backported to 1.6, as it’s not a critical bug and the change itself would require adjustments for version 1.6 (compatibility between different bitstream versions). As far as I know, version 1.7 is expected to be released soon and is currently in testing.
