Can't build ProjectTemplate solution WindowsAppSDK head locally

1. Clone main
2. Open ProjectTemplate.sln in template\lab folder
3. Try and run tests

Get errors from registry source generators for WinAppSDK:

Weird thing is that our CI is passing which is running these tests... 🤔

We need to ensure:

• ProjectTemplate.sln builds locally
• We understand why this failed locally and not in CI
• Write a test case which can help us guard against this breaking in the future

Not sure if #185 or #167 introduced this or earlier, will check after lunch to try and find last known good point for comparison.

Using these steps, the test run was successful on my local machine:

0. Close visual studio.
1. git checkout main
2. git reset --hard
3. git clean -xdf
4. cd template\lab
5. msbuild -r - Successful build
6. msbuild -r -p:Configuration="Release" - Successful build
7. Open ProjectTemplate.sln in Visual Studio (I'm using 17.2.5)
8. In the "Test Explorer" panel, click the green "Run all tests in view" button
9. All tests pass

Using Visual Studio directly (no CLI) gives the same result.

@Arlodotexe remove steps 4-6 from your repo steps. That's what I'm doing, and even after a hard reset/clean seeing the same issue above.

(I'm on 17.2.4.)

Yeah, I tried that. I'm still not able to reproduce. Maybe it's the difference in MSBuild version?
