[Feature Request] Resizable Stage Panel

The stage panel has two modes, Small, and Large. But often it's desirable to have an even larger stage as you work without opening full-screen mode, especially as high DPI and ultra-wide aspect ratios become more prevalent.

Proposal

• use the left padding of the stage panel as a drag handle to resize
• use the user-defined size as the "large" setting of the existing toggle
• automatically switch toggle setting when resized beyond a threshold

Implementation

I've opened a PR (#9753) which implements this feature, but I'm opening this issue for more broader discussion
