Implementation of rust-lang/libs-team#367.

This mainly adds BorrowedCursor::with_unfilled_buf, with enables using the unfilled part of a cursor as a BorrowedBuf.

Note that unlike the ACP, BorrowedCursor::unfilled_buf was moved to a From conversion. This is more consistent with other ways of creating a BorrowedBuf and hides a bit this conversion that requires unsafe code to be used correctly.

What is this? This is an experimental post-merge analysis report that shows differences in test outcomes between the merged PR and its parent PR.

Comparing a001497 (parent) -> 7f2065a (this PR)

Test differences

Show 5 test diffs

Stage 1

  • io::borrowed_buf::cursor_with_unfilled_buf: [missing] -> pass (J0)

Additionally, 4 doctest diffs were found. These are ignored, as they are noisy.

Run

cargo run --manifest-path src/ci/citool/Cargo.toml -- \
    test-dashboard 7f2065a4bae1faed5bab928c670964eafbf43b55 --output-dir test-dashboard

And then open test-dashboard/index.html in your browser to see an overview of all executed tests.

Job duration changes

  1. dist-aarch64-linux: 6071.9s -> 8199.1s (35.0%)
  2. x86_64-apple-1: 7490.2s -> 10077.7s (34.5%)
  3. aarch64-apple: 4936.8s -> 3820.7s (-22.6%)
  4. dist-apple-various: 9048.0s -> 7510.5s (-17.0%)
  5. dist-x86_64-apple: 10317.8s -> 9030.2s (-12.5%)

  8. x86_64-apple-2: 5015.3s -> 4612.8s (-8.0%)
  9. x86_64-msvc-1: 8616.6s -> 9232.2s (7.1%)
  10. x86_64-mingw-2: 7527.7s -> 7000.3s (-7.0%)
How to interpret the job duration changes?

Job durations can vary a lot, based on the actual runner instance
that executed the job, system noise, invalidated caches, etc. The table above is provided
mostly for t-infra members, for simpler debugging of potential CI slow-downs.
