This PR updates the nav2_gps_waypoint_follower_demo package for full compatibility with ROS 2 Jazzy and Gazebo Harmonic.

Key Changes:

  • Updated gazebo_gps_world.launch.py for Jazzy and Gazebo Harmonic.
  • Fixed nav2_no_map_params.yaml to match Jazzy’s Nav2 parameter format.
  • Replaced TurtleBot3 dependency with custom robot sam_bot_description.
  • Cleaned up unused files and ensured successful simulation launch.

Testing

  • Launches without errors in ROS 2 Jazzy.
  • Works with Gazebo Harmonic.
  • Validated GPS waypoint navigation using sam_bot_description and nvaigation2.
