Increase in bundle size

Hi

After upgrading @reduxjs/toolkit from 2.7.0 to 2.8.1, the size of bundled dependency increased from 145KB to 342KB. Is the increase expected?

which imports are you using (and with which bundler)? we do test each change for size increases and I don't recall a change that large.

In this example we can observe increase from 263.62 KB to 284.46 KB.

That'd be very surprising - 2.8 changed the packaging setup, but nothing about the contents of the bundles, and both of those show it's using the modern.mjs artifact, which stayed the same size across releases (79.1K unminified, before any prod optimizations are applied).

Hmm. Had to make a small tweak to the example to remove the ^ from "@reduxjs/toolkit": "^2.7.0", but yeah, I can replicate those numbers.

I added https://sonda.dev/ to visualize the bundle sizes, and it looks like it's something about the It looks like the rtk-query-react.modern.mjs file:

Oh. Oh wow, yeah, something broke with the bundling changes.

• 2.7.0: rtk-query-react.modern.mjs is 26.6KB
• 2.8.1: rtk-query-react.modern.mjs is 203KB
