Authentication for map layers

We got this fixed with the following two changes

1. Passing the store to the getMapSourceOptions when overriding the getSourceOptions in the MapMixin.js

getSourceOptions: async (type, options, asset) => {
          if (!this.getMapSourceOptions) {
            return options; 
          }
          return await this.getMapSourceOptions(type, options, asset, this.$store);
        }

2. Using this in our config.js file

getMapSourceOptions: async (type, options, asset, store) => {
        console.log("Get Options for Asset:", asset);
        if (asset.href.startsWith(<OUR_HOST>)) {
            
            // Use the existing auth store structure
            const authConfig = store.state.authConfig;
            const credentials = store.state.auth?.credentials;
            if (authConfig && credentials) {
                if (authConfig.in === "header") {
                    options.sourceOptions = Object.assign(options.sourceOptions || {}, {
                        headers: { [authConfig.name]: credentials }
                    });
                }
            } 
        }
        return options;
    },

Probably more elegant / vue-ish ways to do it, but just one idea.

Actually re-reading this, we might be solving a more niche problem where we just have authentication protected GeoTIFF's which were not receiving authentication for rendering on the map

No, that's one of the usecases. We'd probably solve it more centrally in ol-stac with stac browser providing the config directly so that you don't need to change the code. But if this works for you for now, that's great.
