The
[badges]feature in Cargo.toml is obsolete. Crates.io deleted support for badges 4 years ago (rust-lang/crates.io#2436, rust-lang/crates.io#2440, rust-lang/cargo#8727). For a while there was an intention thatmaintenancemight continue to be recognized (rust-lang/crates.io#2437, rust-lang/crates.io#2438) but that also was abandoned more than 3 years ago.
