Issue Description
substr() has been deprecated by substring(), see https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/JavaScript/Reference/Global_Objects/String/substr.
Steps to reproduce
The deprecation shows when relevant files are opened in IDE's like VS Code
