The app does not pick up changes

I successfully connected the Pizza Node app and can call it from GPT without issues. However, I'm running into a problem when trying to update it.

After making changes, I rebuild and restart the server using the following commands:

pnpm run build

pnpm run dev

pnpm start (in the Node app folder)

Despite this, when I call the app from GPT, it still shows the older interface.

Any guidance on what might be causing this or how to ensure the updated version is reflected would be greatly appreciated!

When updating your app, you must use Refresh app in ChatGPT, which keeps the existing MCP base URL intact and pulls the latest widget HTML, CSS, and JS directly from your server.

Keep in mind that ChatGPT extensively caches ui:// resources, so refreshing the app is necessary to ensure it fetches the newest UI assets without losing connection or context.

To refresh your connected app in ChatGPT after making updates:

1. In ChatGPT, go to Settings → Apps & Connectors.
2. Select the app you are connected to.
3. Click on Actions, then choose Refresh app.

After doing this, you can continue your conversation normally. There is no need to reconnect the app, reload the page, or restart the chat.

Important Note:
Current example apps get HTML data from a CDN. Therefore, you need to manually implement your updated HTML data in both static and development environments. If you want an automated way to handle this, you can refer to my pull request here PR#46

Thank you @Obad94 I did refresh it in the GPT app and still I see the old resourses.

Maybe the issue is connected to what you mentioned about the sample apps as I`m using them. What steps I need to do now, before you PR is merged in order to make changes to the node Pizzaz apps and be able to see those changes in GPT.

@simonssspirit, you have two options:

1. You can implement the changes yourself as described in issue #17.

2. Alternatively, you can clone my repo and check out this specific branch to test and see your changes in action. Follow the updated README instructions here.

This branch includes improvements related to template URI alignment that address the issue of static HTML assets not updating properly in both dev and static environments.

Hi @simonssspirit, just pushed an update to use the static assets served from your local server.
The problem with the previous version was that static assets would get cached (even when refreshing the MCP server), this should solve the issue.
