### I did all that and the acid test still does not pass :-(
1. `sudo rm -rf $(xcode-select -print-path)` # Enter root password. No output is normal.
2. `sudo rm -rf /Library/Developer/CommandLineTools` # Enter root password. It is OK if this fails.

-rf should mean the removal shouldn't fail - the only failure will be bad root password, so I think remove that second sentence.
