The intention was always to update on SemVer PATCH releases (which makes the most sense), not MINOR. I messed that up in #393, apologies for which.

Should we follow node's versioning here? Minors of yarn land in minors of node, and vice versa for patch releases?

Maybe after Yarn reaches v1.0. As the SemVer specification states:

4. Major version zero (0.y.z) is for initial development. Anything may change at any time. The public API should not be considered stable.

So for now it would be best (and easiest) to just stick with the latest "stable" release.
