Fixed casting exception, refactored code

Description (*)
Fixed casting exception and refactored code. Also, there was reported an issue in the plugin slack channel by Laura Folco, that the plugin no longer indicates when a method/class has plugins. I believe that this will fix that problem.

1. Fixes Reindex critical error during casting to XmlFile #608
