Imports for clients and for developers

We all agree that Magento2 should add the availability to export CSV and import CSV for their customers. But we 'developers' needs an easier way to import data. Like arrays or XML.

We need a better format to handle multi dimensions of data. CSV is to simple for that.
This leads into "CSV Microformats" like the additional attributes.

One possibility is how we do it with https://github.com/firegento/FireGento_FastSimpleImport2: we just allow to import from arrays in PHP. The structure is the same as in the core which is not ideal, I agree with @cmuench on that. But it's a lot better than nothing.
