AIX has the
procfilesystem where/proc/<pid>/lwp/<tid>/lwpsinfohas the thread state in binary, similar to Linux's/proc/<pid>/task/<tid>/statwhere the state is in ASCII. However, the definition of state infoRinlwpsinfoisrunnable. In Linux, stateRmeans the thread isrunning. Therefore,lwpsinfois not ideal for our purpose of getting the current load of the system. This patch usesperfstat_cpu()in AIX system librarylibperfstat.ato obtain the number of threads current running on logical CPUs.
