PHP Deprecated: Creation of dynamic property / Usage of ldap_connect with two arguments is deprecated

Hi,

I have installed the latest version of phpLDAPadmin "1.2.6.7" and php version 8.3. The site is showing errors:

• PHP message: PHP Deprecated: Creation of dynamic property page::$index is deprecated in /var/www/html/phpldapadmin/lib/page.php on line 38 (correction on php.ini. I added allowdynamicproperties = On)
• Unrecognized error number: 8192: Usage of ldap_connect with two arguments is deprecated

Okay, Ubuntu is the same than Debian: Ubuntu syncs it's packages from Debian.

What version of Ubuntu are you using ?
The PHP 8.2 deprecations should be fixed since noble or more recent versions
Can you try by installing from Ubuntu: apt install phpldapadmin ?

You can specify the port as part of the host. If no port is specified the host is a a uri instead, which can include the port.
I.e. the single argument version of https://www.php.net/manual/en/function.ldap-connect.php is used when server.port is not specified.

uri
A full LDAP URI of the form ldap://hostname:port or ldaps://hostname:port for SSL encryption.

You can also provide multiple LDAP-URIs separated by a space as one string

Note that hostname:port is not a supported LDAP URI as the schema is missing.

So rather than setting server.host to server.example.com and server.host to 11442 set server.host to ldap://server.example.com:11442 or ldaps://server.example.com:11442
