It might make sense to update to the latest JWT library version:

at least for the v5 roadmap.

The latest verison is:

Closing. Release v4.10.0 marked JWT middleware in this repository as deprecated and recommends using new repository https://github.com/labstack/echo-jwt that uses newer version of github.com/golang-jwt/jwt
