This is good. I verified that it works fine with my external display. This is a good strategy going forward, and I'll be glad to graciously "steal" this for future examples. |

@kmatch98 can you try this out on your setup with the external display when you have a moment.
I think this way the example should work on either your setup or a builtin screen. It is working for me as is on the PyPortal.
If it does work for you we can update the other examples to use a similar technique.
