Cannot boot Windows 7 x86 guest due to instruction emulation error

when i tried boot windows 7 x32 sp1 , i got thus message.


i view the source code and debug it , i found it's vcpu_simple_decode produce it when handle ept violation。it looks like some opcode doesn't support。

Thanks for the bug report and investigation. HAXM doesn't support booting Windows guests yet (see #20). The specific bug you are seeing is also a known issue, similar to #12. There's an ongoing effort to rewrite the instruction emulator so it can handle more MMIO instructions (see #42).
