Actually ide engine worked fine for me, but then I screwed up some files. Now I'm trying stack ./install.hs hie and there's an error. So I wonder, is there a way to completely delete stack and ide engine from windows, and any mentions. Because when I had installed it for the first time, there were not any problems.

IIRC stack files are all in C:\sr and C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\stack. That removes all global caches.
Then, you can do stack purge in haskell-ide-engine, that removes all local caches
If you really want to remove the executables hie, they are located in I think either somewhere in C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\local\bin or C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\local\bin.
In the path that stack path --local-bin outputs.

@kirillFedorov1 are you building the latest hie version (master or release)? hie has a lower bound over unix-time to avoid that bug since quite time ago:

EDIT: well, the command syntax to install hie you are using is from a more recent version. Could you attach the log of the build?

@jneira what is a log of the build, should I show everything that terminal says after stack ./install.hs hie? There is too much I'm afraid

But maybe it is not needed: try edit ./install/shake.yaml, adding - unix-time-0.4.7 in the extra-deps list. It will look somethig like:

extra-deps:
- shake-0.18.5
# for resolvers with ghc < 8.6
# - shake-0.17
- unix-time-0.4.7

The error is triggered installing hoogle and the script uses ./install/shake.yaml config file to do it. We forgot to add the constraint in that file.

@jneira Sorry, could you help me please with a similar problem: I need "scotty" package for my project, and when trying stack install scotty or building a project, I get this:

I recommend a tutorial for stack: https://docs.haskellstack.org/en/stable/README/#quick-start-guide
stack install <library is virtually never what you want. Set up a proper project and add it to your build-depends.
