I think it's nicer and cleaner way to do this.

Definitely cleaner. I tested using a Regexp for each parameter too but found using #index to be faster in benchmarks. Perhaps there's yet another cleaner way to handle these parameters.

i used and instead of && so i don't have to add parentheses around method parameters (it's cleaner without them)
