Tested peerDeps/optional behavior with few pm's, here's a little gist with findings: https://gist.github.com/belgattitude/df235dc0ca3929ef2b56eb26fe6f3bed. So in theory the peer-deps change will only affect npm v7 users. Yarn 1,2,3, pnpm 6, npm 8 won't download webpack and most warnings will probably disappear too. Not sure about npm 5 & 6. Let's see if theory and practice goes along 😄 Thx for the release |
