Error boundary with next.js?

Hey,

we have been using sentry for quiet some time, but without an error boundary. And I can't find anything in the docs, only the react docs speak of it.

So would adding an error boundary break things or would it just keep working?

If you add an error boundary the error's won't bubble up anymore and Sentry can't capture them. If you want you can simply call Sentry.captureException(err) in the handler of the error boundary or use Sentry's error boundary below your own.

Sentrys error boundary will throw again, so that it can be catched by ours?

When I responded I had a brain fart and forgot that the error boundary will not rethrow, but the answer still kinda makes sense. You can use the Sentry error boundary as a drop-in error boundary that will also send errors.
