Update peer react version?

Any way we could get an updated version of react in the peer dependencies? My team would like to run a more up to date version of React than 16.x and running into issues with conflicting peer dependencies.

It looks like one of the forks of this repo has updated it to react 17, but obviously it's not published up to NPM. Maybe @SvetlanaM would want to submit a PR?
