[BUG] C# Dev Kit not work with dotnet-script like stable OmniSharp extension

Describe the Issue

My c# project contains some dotnet-script files. After install C# Dev Kit and open csx files I have some problems:

• Intellisense is missing
• Syntax highlight is incorrect

Steps To Reproduce

Open any csx file

Expected Behavior

Work like current stable OmniSharp extension

Is there an ETA on when this will be supported? I was working on a rather important scripting project when the extension update arrived and clobbered Intellisense support for it.

I am interested in using scripting for more things in the future too since it's more familiar to our dev team than alternatives.

The C# extension will support .NET 10 file-based C# apps that are run with dotnet run. See the announcement.

Thanks @JoeRobich, that's interesting. But it's lacking features that existing tools have provided for nearly a decade.

Does this mean this issue and OmniSharp parity is basically dead and given up on?
