Not working Blazor server template without HTTPS

Describe the bug

When I create fresh new solution from Blazor server template without support for HTTPS only I can see when I run template is error 404.

To Reproduce

Just create new Application Blazor server application for .NET Core 3.1 or .NET 5.0 with not checked option for "Configure for HTTPS"

Thanks for your reaction. I'm trying to figure out how to use the fix from the mentioned issue, unfortunately I can't. In addition, if I read correctly, it seems to me that the solution is not created at all, while this problem will create a solution properly, only all websites return error 404. The only error message I can get is (this error can be seen when I run application in Docker, when I run app in VS no error is shown):

Failed to determine the https port for redirect.

Although my Startup should not handle HTTPS at all:

Hello,

I have some confusing update. When I run template without HTTPS I am redirected to: localhost:5000/index.html. This page responses with 404 error. When I try to refresh or head to just: localhost:5000. I just see error 404.

BUT! When I head to localhost:5000/counter web page is properly shown. When I click on Home button what takes me to localhost:5000 homepage is shown properly. I can move on pages properly. When I change URL back again to localhost:5000/index.html everything is back like before (error 404).

When I set URL like localhost:5000/count, for example, there is shown error: "Sorry, there's nothing at this address.".

(In the template there is folder Pages with Counter.razor and Index.razor by default)

That's confusing behavior.
