Hmmm, my guess would be that it's an issue related to the apt cache: https://github.com/cvmfs-contrib/github-action-cvmfs/blob/main/setup-cvmfs.sh#L6

I have to check, maybe it's possible to clean the cache in case of apt errors and try again

Indeed, clearing the caches seemed to fix the problem

I ran into this again today. With a new release of CVMFS a few days ago, we saw our CI for the EESSI Action fail or time out for Arm (see https://github.com/EESSI/github-action-eessi/actions/runs/13556262764). Removing the cache fixed the problem.

I don't know exactly what the problem is but, do you think there may be a need for an arch-specific cache? The Arm runners in GitHub are not around very long...

Released a patch version 5.1 with the fixed cache. Do let us know if you still see issues - I think it should also be possible to retry without the cache in case of errors
