The project builds fine on Linux Mint with ghc provided by stack (64 bit I assume).

1. removed MinGHC from path and deleted local/stack/cabal folders under roaming
2. ran stack setup --arch i386
3. added to path the paths suggested by stack
4. running stack build shows:

The project builds correctly on Windows 8.1 when using MinGHC 32 bit.

Do the executables get generated successfully despite this error message?
Also, can you try running with --no-terminal to see if that avoids
corrupting the output? It looks like there's a separate bug to investigate
here regarding sticky logging on windows.

Ran stack build again and checked the build. The Snowdrift.exe is there but SnowdriftEmailDaemon.exe is not. I'll run it with --no-terminal next.

What's the output of stack exec which realgcc? On my system:

Also, if you have some instructions on getting the PostgreSQL libraries set up on Windows, I'd appreciate it so I could try reproducing. (Yes, I've managed to avoid testing PostgreSQL on Windows until this point in my life somehow...)
