There is no magic for this. The work what you meaned has been done in 930de03#diff-cbe117aa9285ed6e1aa1941aa8706ffeR63

Just change LOCAL_WHOLE_STATIC_LIBRARIES to LOCAL_STATIC_LIBRARIES.

@IgorMats in fact, the current JSB already support it on Android, we will write a doc about how to do this and test on iOS soon
