BUG: non-existent signal locks UI

Trying to load a non-existent signal from the "Delphi Sensors" data source / endpoint will cause the UI to become unresponsive.  This can be replicated by attempting to load with selected "Name" `wiki` and any of the HHS regions for "Location" (this also requires an auth token / api key with appropriate permissions).
