Board manager: Update zephyr install ... Zephyr is uninstalled

This morning, I saw that the zephyr release 0.51.0 was released.
So this morning when I restarted Arduino again it showed me that there were boards to update.
So I clicked on the update for zephyr.

When it completed, I went to tools->Boards and the zephyr was no long shown (It showed my install) in the
hardware directory still.

On closer inspection, I did find that a different board was installed: Arduino Uno Q

When I back to the board manager it did show me that there is Arduino Zephyr Boards (Beta) that I could
install, which I did.

The human facing name of the platform with the machine identifier arduino:zephyr was changed from "Arduino Zephyr Boards (BETA)" to "Arduino Uno Q board" by #216.

At the same time, #216 created a new platform with machine identifier arduino:zephyr_main and human friendly name "Arduino Zephyr Boards (BETA)".

The Arduino development tools use the machine identifier, so even though arduino:zephyr@0.3.2 and arduino:zephyr@0.51.0 have different human facing names, they are both releases of the same platform as far as the tool is concerned.

Likewise, even though arduino:zephyr@0.3.2 and arduino:zephyr_main@0.51.0 have the same human facing names, they are different platforms as far as the tool is concerned.

So what you observed is the expected result of #216. Obviously changing a platform's scope from supporting various boards to only supporting a single board is disruptive to users, but it is reasonable to make such disruptions during the beta development phase of a platform.

@pillo79 I will probably go ahead and close it, as by design, although to me, it feels wrong and will like likely confuse people.

That is, I see that one one board types has been updated, and I hover over it and it said something like for multiple boards
including GIGA, Portenta... I click the update button, and it process it says it uninstalled the old one and it installed
Platform arduino:zephyr@0.51.0

I go to the Tools boards and it completely disappeared.

Now just by accident I notice a board in my list, that was not there before: Arduino Uno Q board
This is nothing in that name that mentions Zephyr. So my assumption is that the install of zephyr failed.
Luckily I noticed that there is still an item in the board manager that logically looks like what I tried to update and it has
the Install button, so it can recover...
