Expected Behavior

Badge should grow based on content

Actual Behavior

Only shows one letter, rest is truncated.

Environment

• Angular: 18.2
• CDK/Material: 18.2
• Browser(s): Chrome
• Operating System (e.g. Windows, macOS, Ubuntu): MacOS

Confirming this is issue is shown on v18 and not v17 on the docs site. It likely is related to the change from #9713.
