It opens soooo slowly. You can see it on demo page.

I don't currently experience this issue. Would you happen to have Dev Tools open while measuring your experience?

I exaggerated, but there's still a delay I don't like.

Do you experience that past the initial opening of a Picker? That is to say, is it just as slow when you open the Picker a second time?

It doesn't matter if it's a first or a second+ time, always this speed.
I have noticed this performance issue a long time ago, btw.

That's difficult to answer then. I know for a fact the the timing on the first open and the second open are not the same. It may not be possible for us to address your experience with this information.
