Maybe pedantic quibble, but isn't the markdown > notation supposed to be reserved for block quotes? E.g. https://guides.github.com/pdfs/markdown-cheatsheet-online.pdf

You could instead wrap this text in an HTML admonition, like
<div class="alert alert-block alert-info">
