Caratec support

I have a Caratec CAV196DSW, it exports a a CAV196DSW.bin file. I would appreciate modifying this file with ChanSort. Any idea where I can get a docu of this old format or if it is poosible to transform it in a supported format?

Hi Peter,
I'm not aware of ANY TV manufacturer providing any documentation about their file formats. Hisense is the only company that provided specs to me personally, everything else in ChanSort is reverse engineering and guesswork.

I'm not familiar with the brand or model you mentioned and .bin files are typically very hard to analyze and error prone without access to the source code of the firmware that creates those files. For that reason I am no longer trying to add support for exotic binary formats.

Converting channel lists between formats isn't possible. Every firmware needs different data to set up the tuner properly and nobody knows the exact meaning of every byte in the files.
