Description

@techthoughts2

Prerequisites

  • Write a descriptive title.
  • Make sure you are able to repro it on the latest version
  • Search the existing issues.

Steps to reproduce

When running the following:

$allModules = Find-Module -Name * -Repository PSGallery
$allModules.Count
2812

I am getting a different answer for the number of modules on the PSGallery each time I run the command.

Additionally, these numbers which range from 1900-3000 (approximately) are far lower than the web ui filter of 11k+ indicates.

Expected behavior

$allModules = Find-Module -Name * -Repository PSGallery
$allModules.Count
# count should be close to the published UI count of 11,146 modules

Actual behavior

$allModules = Find-Module -Name * -Repository PSGallery
$allModules.Count
# count is between 1900-3000 and changes each time

Error details

# count of PowerShell modules is low, and differs each time
