Remove theme functionality

The theme functionality lets us switch between different sets of CSS and HTML files, but we have never used it. All of the alternative themes (e.g., "twitter") are non-functional at this point.

Removing this functionality should have the added benefit of simplifying the code base significantly, which should make it easier for folks to contribute.
