Julia 1.0 REPL shell does not accept bash alias/profile

Julia 0.6 was using the default shell setup.

This causes a major problem. There should be work around. I need to have full access to bash in the REPL.

I really do not see what is the point of even having shell interface is does not reflect the user's setup.

Well, that was my feeling too but I got "overruled".

Is there a way around it? I have a lot of bash functions/aliases which are just needed to perform my work? I do not see why I will need to switch between repl and terminal; this is very inconvenient; it might be ok if you just develop julia. but if you use julia for actual work this is very inconvenient. Also, i run julia on different machines (os/configurations) which share the same home space and bashrc takes care to make the process smooth.

The most immediate way around it is to use ;bash <enter> to launch "shell mode"
