Hey, thanks for putting forward the suggestions. I think you have come across some existing bugs that's causing these incorrect behaviours.

1. This behaviour should be as you suggested, cursor at the end of the query on the right, which when I am using autocomplete I do get the right behaviour.
2. Same, the query should be deleted when using 'Empty Last Query', I also can not replicate the bug you are experiencing. For me the query is always deleted on reappear when using the option.

However there have been reports of the above two by other users and we will need to continue to investigate and address:
