NCAA MBB Only Support Favorite Teams in Top 25

It appears if you configure a favorite team NCAA MBB it only displays them if the team is in the top 25. For example, my team is Marquette (MARQ) doesn't display. They aren't top 25 this year unfortunately :( I think the endpoint used only pulls top 25 team info vs all teams.

I can take a look. It should do any team assuming it's in the ESPN database

Thanks for looking into it!  I've set the config file to 269 as well and MARQ and nothing shows up. Ok it will be the abbreviation, not the id number in the favorite team section in the configuration. The screen is totally blank? No other team logo, no date, text....?

looks like not an issue with the team, API call is getting a 404. I will continue to diagnose.

more news, besides the API call for the events which I have to fix, it looks like NCAA Mens Basketball is divided into 2 groups, Div 1 and non-Div 1. I'm not 100% but the current API call may only be returning Div 1 games, more to follow.

EDIT: nm, MARQ is div 1 so while that is true, isn't the issue

OK, the ncaa basketball endpoint (may also the womens too) uses date instead of dates to include a range, also you need to include the groups param to get the full data. Group 50 is Div 1, Group 51 is non-Div 1.

https://site.api.espn.com/apis/site/v2/sports/basketball/mens-college-basketball/scoreboard?limit=1000&groups=50&date=20251021-20251111 returns the correct data. Will need to figure out the best way to fix this.

unfortunately now that request which i'm pretty sure was showing over 100 events happening during that range is only now returning 36 for today/tomorrow and MARQ is not there so i'm really confused. THe NCAA BB endpoint is defintiely acting very different than the others.

this https://site.api.espn.com/apis/site/v2/sports/basketball/mens-college-basketball/scoreboard?groups=50&limit=1000&dates=20251103-20251130 works and returns 1000 events which may not be all of them since the limit won't let u go above 1000 and if I do https://site.api.espn.com/apis/site/v2/sports/basketball/mens-college-basketball/scoreboard?groups=50&limit=1000&dates=20251102-20251130, it returns nothing

It may be because the regular season starts on "startDate": "2025-11-03T08:00Z", and it won't cross over. Its getting more and more complicated. We don't seem to have these issues on the other NCAA sports or pro side. It appears the NCAA basketball endpoints is just widely different. Will probably have to override the methods to account for the weirdness. will continue to play with it.

I'm aware of that domain which is how I found the groups, Unfortunately this just documents that domain, the actually domain that provides the data is separate and does not appear to have a similar endpoint documenting everything.

I think we will need to overwrite the functions and write custom functions to loop through the days and groups we want. Probably won't be pretty
