Saving data

The data is automatically saved when acquisition ends (either the Stop button was pressed or the acquisition ran for the maximum amount of time allowed, default 2 hours) to a folder called "autosave" and a subfolder named after the date the experiment is being run. The autosave folder is created in the current folder.

It's recommended for the user to save the data manually to a folder of their choice and with a name identifying the file accurately while routinely deleting the autosave folder. The autosave folder should be seen as a backup in case the user forgets to save the data manually. In order to save the data manually, go to the file menu and use the option "Save as...".

The data can be saved in .nirs format or .snirf format.
