I feel the same. Let's keep this as a PR for the time being. Can you rebase for a clean diff? |

Rebased. Note that I had to implement ".mjs" support in https://github.com/guybedford/node/tree/module-default to ensure compatibility with the current Node implementation - would likely have to be a separate proposal if removing ".mjs" were to be a goal. |

This provides a draft integration with ".mjs" support, as a separate commit on top of the PR at #8.
