I’d love to see native support in Payload for reusable block templates that include saved content. This would allow editors to insert pre-configured layouts (like a “Team Section” or “Contact CTA”) with pre-filled data, similar to how platforms like Shogun or Webflow allow reusable component templates.
Ideal UX:
Editors can create and save templates from existing blocks.
Templates appear in the admin UI as selectable presets.
Use Case:
Non-technical content teams can rapidly assemble pages from a design system of pre-approved patterns without re-entering content each time.
