Not everyone knows the history with io.js. Replacing required io.js version, with Node.js version is probably less confusing for some.

Yiikes, it even worked 💥 👯 ^^^ my previous comment was created by a bot polling Travis. In other words, it serves as a custom inline Travis CI integration.
