Closing this in favor of a similar approach in PR #18212 which replaces the configuration parameter with a dynamic registration mechanism. Thanks for your work on this @arthanson! |

Fixes: #18136
Adds a config parameter to NetBox for BranchingBackend that is called during script execution to get and switch the active branch. See also netboxlabs/netbox-branching#184 for changes in the branching plugin to support this.
