Proposal: UUID and Locale (language tag) scalars

We are using UUID and also Locale (language tag) scalars. I think it might be useful to add them as well.

@ieugen - first off apologies for not getting back to you. I have run out of time and this project went onto the back burner and has been neglected.

Can you tell me more about how you use UUID and Locale as scalars.

Locale I think I can understand but what format is the scalar data in and out? Is it just Locale.string and Locale.parse(str) that Java uses?

As for UUID - why do you need the exact semantics around UUID versus the build in graphql ID scalar? eg its an opaque identifier.

Do you parse / construct UUIDs in some manner??

Hello @bbakerman . Thanks for getting back.

For Locale, we use Locale.forLanguageTag() and locale.toLanguageTag() . Language tags are better then the posix serialization done by toString().

For UUID we use it in some places where we have UUID's as tokens. We use UUID instead of ID's.
Having the UUID allows us to push that part of validation in the graphql layer.

@bbakerman Do you intend to merge the PR which @ravikancherla was nice enough to create? I currently imported the code from the PR by copying it, but I suspect my team will not like that :p

(after that I have problems with pulling since the latest version is not in maven central, but that's another question)
