Cannot add files to Sitelet Website template

Repro:

Create new Sitelet Website project
Right click on a .fs file in solution explorer, choose add above, new item.
No files types are available in the dialog

Workaround for the time being: create file and use Add Existing.

The issue seems to be that this project template is both "web" and "F#", and it has VS automation for both, but somehow adding files doesn't pick up both of the file set possibilities.

Unfortunately I do not see good solutions here. As soon as a project is marked as "Web", F# support for it drops. There is a workaround from Dan Mohl that involves setting some registry keys. What I have done for now is including the equivalent Setup.fsx file in the web project. If you evaluate the contents of the file in FSI and restart VS, the registry keys are added and you can now add new items to F# web projects. This only needs to be done once.

Indeed, VS 2017 has changed how this works, it uses a local registry file instead of the global registry.

This updated version is working for me, can you confirm that it works for you too?

I also submitted a PR to VisualFSharp so that this would be done by default by the F# Tools.

Btw my PR was merged quickly, so the Visual F# tools nightly release includes this fix. No more script to run, just install the latest tools and it will work.
